The Nutritional Values of Zampone Modena IGP

zampone_purea di mele

Today Zampone Modena presents a nutritional table which can be included in a rational and balanced diet. In fact, compared to the past, the fat and sodium content has been significantly reduced. The caloric intake is slightly higher than of a mozzarella. The advantage of Zampone Modena compared to other foods which are only apparently “light” and not as tasty as mozzarella is that it is more likely to consume less and therefore to take on an adequate caloric content. This is because its taste is full and rich and immediately gives a feeling of satisfaction.

In addition, as the Cotechino Modena, according to the analysis of the National Research Institute for Food and Nutrition, the Zampone Modena:

  • has a high content of noble proteins,
  • has more unsaturated fat than saturated fat, in line with nutritional recommendations on fat quality,
  • after cooking it loses some of the fat, which is dispersed without being swallowed,
  • it is rich in B vitamins and minerals, especially iron and zinc it is in a form that is available to be used by the body
